Anything for Kanye! Kim Kardashian braves the New York rain... but she's still got her sandals on

She's a California girl, born and bred.

But her love of Kanye West means Kim Kardashian is prepared to broaden her horizons - even if it means braving the freezing New York weather.

Dressed in a long camel coat and clinging long-sleeved dress, the 34-year-old looked rather out of her element as she left the couple's apartment on Tuesday night.

As rain splashed down, a doorman rushed to shelter the reality star under an umbrella. 

Kim kept her head down as the wind lashed her carefully trussed hair around her face, while struggling to hold her artfully draped coat onto her shoulders.

Showing her West Coast roots, the brunette had worn a rather ill-chosen pair of strappy sandals for her outing, not entirely suitable for puddle jumping.

There was no sign of the mother-of-one's daughter North as she headed out for her grown-up evening - or indeed her husband Kanye.
