A center referee for Nigerian Premier League named Charles Ozigbo was beaten
mercilessly by Nigerian football fans during a match between Kwara United of
Ilorin and Rangers Bee of Kaduna in Abuja yesterday December 19th. This was
reported by Sunrise Sports Executive Producer Toyin Ibitoye. The referee was
reportedly attacked after he gave a penalty to one of the clubs. The referee
was beaten mercilessly that the match had to be stopped.
When would Nigerian fans stop hooliganism? Other countries have either
stopped theirs or toned theirs down so Nigerian fans should stop too.
