Men Who Take a Lot of Selfies More Likely to Be Psychopaths, New Study Finds

According to USA Today, a new study led by Ohio State University Professor Jesse Fox has found that men who post numerous selfies online tend to exhibit higher levels of narcissism and psychopathy.

Filters aren't a good sign either. Fox's study also found that men who spend time editing the selfies they post have higher levels of narcissism and self-objectification.

To get their results, the study looked at the online behavior of 800 males between the ages of 18 and 40. All the participants filled out a survey about their relationship with selfies, along with questionnaires about objectification and anti-social behavior.

While some of the men involved in the study showed higher levels of psychopathy than others in the group, everyone tested within the normal range.

Fox plans to continue her work in selfie studies, researching the relationship between a person's selfie count and the online behavior of his or her friends next.
