President
Muhammadu Buhari is set to attend the G7 summit in Germany
this weekend, his spokesperson has said.
The
conference will be Buhari’s first major international meeting as Nigeria’s
President.
The
President will also visit Niger and then Chad for a two-day trip from
Wednesday, June 3, 2015, to discuss the fight against Boko Haram.
“The
president has accepted the invitation to attend the G7 summit. He’s expected to
depart Nigeria on Sunday for the summit. It’s going to be a two-day trip,” Buhari’s media aide, Shehu
Garba said on Tuesday, June 3, 2015.
