Former President Olusegun Obasanjo has written the President elect, Gen Buhari a letter. In the letter, Chief Obasanjo charged Gen. Buhari to embark on reforming all of Nigeria's national institutions, particularly the military. The full text of the letter below...

I hasten to congratulate you on your success and victory in the Presidential Elections of March 28, 2015. Your success and victory after three previous unsuccessful attempts must be great object lessons for you and for all politicians, particularly in Nigeria. For me, the totality of 2015 elections hold many lessons for our democracy and democratisation process, which are both maturing. On this occasion, the system has been unnecessarily overheated before and particularly during the campaigns when emphasis was more on trivialities and hate, divisive, undignifying and disrespectful statements and comments rather than on pressing issues requiring attention.

I know that in victory, you will be magnanimous to start binding the wounds and bitterness occasioned by the campaign and the evil disciples.

With so much harm already done to many national institutions including the military, which proudly nurtured you and me, you will have a lot to do on institution reform, education, healthcare, economy, security, infrastructure, power, youth employment, agribusiness, oil and gas, external affairs, cohesiveness of our nation and ridding our land of corruption.

Your varied and wide experience will undoubtedly stand you in good stead. I am also sure that there are men and women of goodwill, character and virtue across the board that you can mobilise to join hands with you in the reform, repairs and redirection that will be imperative to put Nigeria back on the fast lane of good governance, unity, cohesiveness, development and progress.

Once again, I felicitate with you and wish you well.

Alhaji Muhammadu Dikko Yusuf former Inspector General of Police dies at 85

Former Inspector General of Police, Alhaji Muhammadu Dikko Yusuf has died at the age of 85. The former police chief died last night April 1st in his home after a long battle with an undisclosed illness. A native of Katsina state, Alhaji Dikko was the Inspector General of Police from 1976 to 1979.

Ijaw youth President says as he congratulates Buhari and he believes they had their own knife & yam and they cut it the way we wanted

The President of the Ijaw Youth Council, Mr. Udengs Eradiri has congratulated Gen Buhari on his victory at the presidential polls. In a statement released on behalf of all the youths in Ijaw land yesterday April 1st, Mr Eradiri said the Niger Delta had their own Knife and Yam and have cut it the way they wanted.

He said while the northerners went all out to vote, in some cases using their personal finances to transport themselves to cast their votes, the Southerners waited for people to pay them first before they go out to collect their PVCs and vote. He said they should not complain as "we are the architects of our own problems". The statement after the cut...

"I want to use this opportunity to congratulate Gen. Buhari who has emerged the winner of the presidential election. And so as IYC, when we had our own as President, the Igbo, the Yoruba, the Hausa were loyal to him. We will be loyal to the President-elect, Gen. Buhari, who from May 29, 2015 would become the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We will accept it (the results of the election). We had our own knife and yam; we were not able to cut it the way we wanted. We have no other person to blame. It is in this part of the country that people ask for money to go and vote. However, the northerners were paying for their own transportation to go and exercise their rights and to go and pick their PVCs. Our people were expecting that they would be paid to collect PVCs and the results reflected so. We have no other choice; we are the architect of our own problem. So, we should be able to live with it. If you go and protest, you are on your own. If you go and destroy anything, you are on your own. I, as the leader of youths in this region, have reached out to other ethnic nationalities to canvass support. Maybe, we started late. Maybe the attention was not given that should have started with the political class. History has already recorded it. So, the best we can do is to key into his (Buhari’s) administration, just as the Yoruba and Hausa key into the administration. It is time for us to also key into the administration. So, I called on our people to steer clear of all those political manipulations.”he said

Joe Giudice breaks his silence about Teresa Giudice in prison, says he's trying to ''stay strong'' and appreciates her ''way more''

Ever since Teresa Giudice began her federal prison sentence January 5, Joe has recognized just how important she was and is to the family dynamics.

"When you have four kids, you have to stay strong," Joe explained to Extra! "Her being away definitely makes me appreciate her way more, a lot more, and you know everything she did."

While their daughters continue to focus on their individual activities including school work, sports and even a music career, the family has received comfort from Teresa that prison life may not be as scary as they first imagined.

"She's got a little group she hangs out with and does her thing with every day, and who she goes to the gym with and who she hangs out with, and who does her hair and who does her nails," Joe explained. "They have their little thing going every day."

He added, "[The kids] email her all the time…every day, so, they email more than me. We try to make it up there every weekend and we bring her mom up every weekend."

The Fabulicious author was sentenced to 15 months in prison back in October after pleading guilty to bankruptcy fraud and conspiracy to commit mail and wire fraud. She is currently serving her term at Danbury prison.

The family picture, taken inside Danbury Federal Prison March 15, is a far cry from the glamorous photo shoots is used to as a Bravo reality star. With her tan fading and her naturally curly hair flowing freely, Teresa puts on a happy face for the camera as her husband shares new details about her life in prison.

Teresa puts on a smile for her family, too. "She comes out with her smile, with a little wave," Joe says.

According to Joe, the girls make nightly phone calls to Teresa and drive 80 miles a week to visit her in Connecticut. "I cry more than the girls," he says. "I pretty much cry every time I leave. Like a little baby."

During their six-hour reunions, Teresa, 42, helps her daughters with their homework while the younger ones take turns sitting on her lap. "It's not horrible place," Joe explains. "She never says anything bad."

While Gia, Gabriella and Milania realize Teresa is in prison, Joe says Audriana "thinks she's working."

Incarcerated since Jan. 5, Teresa—AKA Inmate No. 65703-050—begins each day with a 6 a.m. wakeup call. After putting on her khaki uniform, she reports to the cafeteria for breakfast and then hits the gym for the first of three workouts. "She exercises after every meal. It's like a low-budget spa. They do spin classes, ab classes. She's getting pretty ripped up," Joe says, adding that other inmates "give her space."

"Everyone I encounter—from the inmates to the staff—tell me the Teresa they have come to know is nothing like the Teresa they've seen on television," her attorney, James. J. Leonard Jr., tells Us Weekly.

Teresa has made a "little group of friends," and they watch TV shows like Empire and Scandal.

"I miss Joe and my girls terribly, but we are going to get through this as a family one day at a time," Teresa says (through her lawyer). "We will be stronger because of this. Nothing can break us apart."
