UPDATES: Rev. Anita Oyakhilome’s Lawyers Drop Bombshell On Messy Divorce

 For over 2 decades, Chris and Anita Oyakhilome {President & Vice-President of the Believers Love World, better known as Christ Embassy} made the list of Nigeria’s most celebrated couples till last week when TheCable, an online news medium, broke the news of their separation. Rev. Anita Oyakhilome filed for divorce from her estranged husband Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, citing irreconcilable differences bordering on alleged adultery and misbehaviour. The case with suit no. FD14D01650 was filed on 9th April 2014 at Divorce Section A, Central Family Court, First Avenue House, High Holborn in London.

City People Magazine initiated contact with Anita’s lawyers, Attwaters Jameson Hill Solicitors, a UK-based full-service law firm. In the reply sent today, Stephen Goddard stated that:

    “It is with great sadness that our client, Pastor Anita Oyakhilome, has come to the conclusion that her marriage to Pastor Christian Oyakhilome has irretrievably broken down and regrettably there is no hope of 
any reconciliation. We can confirm that Pastor Anita Oyakhilome has commenced divorce proceedings in London as she resides in the UK.”

The governor of Kano State, Rabi’u Kwankwaso, has criticised President Goodluck Jonathan for not taking a decisive step to stamp out the Boko Haram menace. Kwankwaso accused the president of behaving like the Commander-in-Chief of the Nigeria Television Authority, NTA, instead of the armed forces.

Kwankwaso said rather than stop the killings by Boko Haram, Jonathan is busy comparing himself with other first class leaders across the world on national television. He stated this at the Progressives Governors Forum Lecture Series in Owerri, Imo State. The theme of the lecture, the third in the series, was “Dealing with the Challenge of Building Physically Healthy Nation through Preventive, Protective and Innovative medicine”.

Nigerian Renowned Preacher Helen Ukpabio Sues UK Rights Groups £500million over Witchcraft Claims

Nigerian preacher, Helen Ukpabio, has sued two UK human rights groups - The British Humanist Association (BHA) and Witchcraft and Human Rights Information Network (WHRIN) for £500 million (N130 billion) due to their criticism of her teachings. Mrs Ukpabio claims to have expertise in identifying children and adults who are possessed with witchcraft spirits and in how they can be ‘delivered’ from those spirits. She had given features of “possessed children” only for the BHA to call for Ukpabio and others like her to be banned from coming to the UK on the grounds that they are a threat to child welfare and their practices are not conducive to the public good.’ Ukpabio claims that the BHA misrepresented her by saying that she ascribed these symptoms to Satanic possession and hence has damaged her reputation and livelihood to the sum of half a billion pounds. Her lawyers have also informed the BHA and WHRIN that she is launching a legal case against them. Melissa Rivers Remains Focused on Joan Rivers' Road to Recovery, Is "Keeping Everyone Together"

As the E! Fashion Police host remains hospitalized at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, a source reveals the comedian is making small, but positive, steps.  

"It's a slow process, but she's on the road to recovery," a source close to the situation tells E! News exclusively. "She's getting better. Don't believe all this ridiculous speculation."

Joan stopped breathing while undergoing a minor throat procedure Aug. 28 in New York City. She was then rushed to the hospital where she was placed in a medically induced coma.

Her daughter, Melissa Rivers, flew across the country the same day with her son,Cooper, to be by the comic legend's side.

"She is a rock. She is calmer than I've ever seen her," the source told E! News in regards to Melissa. "All these reports about doomsday are not true. She is her mother's daughter and she's tough as nails. She's the person keeping everyone together."

The insider added, "She's focused on one thing: Her mother's health."

Joan remains in stable, yet critical, condition. On Sunday, Melissa thanked fans for all their prayers and well wishes.

"Thank you for your continued love and support," she said in a statement. "We are keeping our fingers crossed."

Our thoughts and prayers continue to go out to the Rivers family at this time.

Naked and scantily-clad pictures of who appears to be Jennifer Lawrence, as well as other racy pics resembling other celebrities, surfaced online on Sunday during Labor Day Weekend, sending Twitter and Reddit users into a frenzy and spurring speculation about another celebrity hacking case.

Several of the photos show the various hairstyles the 24-year-old Hunger Games and X-Men actress has sported over the past three years.

"This is a flagrant violation of privacy," Lawrence's rep told E! News in a statement on Sunday. "The authorities have been contacted and will prosecute anyone who posts the stolen photos of Jennifer Lawrence." 

Another photo showing Mary Elizabeth Winstead naked was also posted.

Manchester City's Micah Richards has ended his 12-year stay at the club by joining Fiorentina on a season-long loan deal.

The Italian club have paid £3.5m for the defender which will rise to £4.7m if they make the move permanent.

Manchester United Signs Falcao On A Long Term Loan

Manchester United completed a midnight deal to secure the £20m loan signing of Radamel Falcao after being forced to seek an extension to the 11pm transfer deadline in order to take the club’s summer spending through the £150m barrier.

United, who clinched the one-year loan transfer after Manchester Cityand Arsenal rejected the opportunity to pursue a deal for the AS Monaco forward, requested the extra hour to process paperwork to meet the requirements of the Fifa Transfer Matching System after Falcao passed a medical.

Despite being granted the midnight extension by the Premier League, United did not confirm Falcao’s signing until the early hours of Tuesday morning, with an official press statement issued at 1.30am.

Falcao landed in Manchester last night ahead of a medical at United’s Aon Training Centre after the club’s executive vice-chairman, Ed Woodward, negotiated a season-long loan with a view to a £35m permanent move for the Colombia international.

Doctors fear stroke could leave Joan Rivers 'either a vegetable or in a wheelchair' as they begin process to bring her out of coma

I'm always checking for updates on Joan Rivers and according to Daily Mail, doctors at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City, yesterday Sunday August 31st started the process of bringing her out of her medically-induced coma, but fear she could be left as 'a vegetable' or 'needing a wheelchair' as they battle to save her life. The waking-up process will take until tomorrow Tuesday September 2nd.

"There is real concern that the part of the brain that controls motor skills may have been compromised leaving her as either a vegetable or in a wheelchair,' a source close to the family said

"Rivers would not want to live unless she could enjoy 'a full and active life. ... (She) would never want to be a burden on anyone' another family friend said

The 81-year-old was having surgery on her vocal cords at a clinic in NYC when she suddenly stopped breathing during the procedure on Thursday August 28th.

The divorce mess between Pastors Chris and Anita Oyakhilome of Christ Embassy Church has worsened, P.M News reports. 

On Sunday, two days after it was reported that Anita Oyakhilome had filed for divorce, Christ Embassy deleted her pictures and personal information from its official website, www.christembassy.org.

Many describe the action as the beginning of a process to shut her out of the church, after she accused her husband of “adultery” and “unreasonable behaviors” in a divorce suit filed in London last April but only made public on Friday.
